About a year ago Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur was buzzing with cameras and movie production sprees everywhere when one of us was keeping the renowned movie director Meghna Gulzar waiting on the set.
Yes, this was the set for a scene in the recently released Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur and our DLF-2 co-resident Vivek Bahl was facing the cameras for his small role as Dr. Radha Krishnan swearing in Indira Gandhi, played by Fatima Sana Sheikh.
Vivek and his family had been eagerly awaiting the release of this movie ever since he shot for the scene in September 2022. They went to watch the movie on the day of release on
1 Dec 2023 and were exuberant watching the scene run a few minutes after the interval and his name in the credits!
Soon after, Vivek shared his experience on a Reviewers’ platform about this minuscule few-second scene, how he had struggled with the turban tying right before the final takes and ended up keeping Meghna Gulzar waiting on the set.
