This month we had a lot of visiting guests in our colony which included our MP, Basuri Swaraj. She was accompanied by Parvesh Verma, PWD minister, and MLA Neeraj Baisoya. The main purpose of their visit was to inspect the broken bridge, which was damaged about two years back by a truck parked on it. The condition of the bridge is not only a connection point for the C and D blocks over the nallah but also for going from Lajpat Nagar to Kotla and vice versa. Our MP Swaraj and PWD minister Verma assured all help and committed that the work of repairing the bridge will commence from the end of April. It was really nice to see that residents turned out in large numbers to show support for this cause and put it forward to the authorities. Also, it was a great gesture by both the President of RWAs Major Ranjit Singh (RWA gumbad) and Vijay Bhardwaj (A block RWA) to come together in support of getting the bridge repaired and strongly putting out their grievances to our MP as a united front.
