The festival holds immense importance for workers, craftsmen and industrial labourers to seek Lord Vishwakarma’s blessings. This year on 17th September, the festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm across club drive.
Wellington: On 17th September, Vishwakarma Pooja was held in the DG room with great enthusiasm. It was a great day for electricians and plumbers. The entrance gate and the whole basement were decorated beautifully with flowers and lights. On the stage, Vishwakarma Ji’s big photo was kept and all the tools were kept in front of the stage. Royalton: In Royalton Tower the puja was done in basement 1. After ‘Pratima sthapana’ on a well-decorated ‘choki’, puja started with full faith. Puja was performed by Pandit Ji by chanting mantras and it was followed by Havan which lasted for two hours. Manager Mahavir Prasad, security supervisors Harinder Sharma and Pintoo Sharma, Electricians, Plumbers and Security guards participated in the celebration. It was a collective effort of all. Some residents were also present at the ceremony and the Pooja was concluded by offering lunch (Bhandara ) to one and all present there. Food was enjoyed by everyone. –by Urmil Nayar
Princeton: The auspicious time fell between 10:30 am to 11 :30 am on Sunday the 17th and Pandit performed the rituals meticulously with a few residents and about 200 maintenance staff members of Princeton Estate Condominium Association. The president Dr Kazmi also graced the occasion with his presence. The staff paid their homage to the creator and the celebration was wound up with an elaborate Bhandara feeding about 300 members till 3pm. Thus Vishwakarma puja which symbolises innovation and excellence in craftsmanship was celebrated with pomp and show. –by Mythily Govindan
