Vishwakarma Puja was celebrated on September 17, 2023 at Saket Dham in the temple premises with great devotion and dedication. Perhaps, Saket Dham society still retains and maintains the distinction of being the only society of this sector to perform Vishwakarma Puja as a ritual every year. On this auspicious occasion, Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect of arts and crafts is worshipped along with the machines, tools, gadgets and instruments etc. used by the workmen for their livelihood.
The celebrations were initiated by making a special raised platform to accommodate the photo of lord Vishwakarma. It was profusely decorated with colourful flowers and petals for performing the Puja. A large size beautifully framed Photo of Lord Vishwakarma was installed on the special pre-decorated set. Working machines, tools and other mechanical/electronic gadgets/instruments were also placed before the idol along with puja samagri. Vishwakarma Puja was performed by pandit ji with the chanting of mantras and was witnessed by a large gathering of devotees. Puja was also performed for all the diesel generators, transformers, electrical panels and lifts etc. Pandit ji greeted every one while applying red tilak on the foreheads and tied raksha sutra (mouli) on the wrists of the residents. After the havan and aarti, prasad was distributed to one and all present in the darbar of Lord Vishwakarma.
Vishwakarma Puja was very well organised by the actively working artisans of the society along with other supporting staff and they deserve full appreciation for the sincere efforts put in by them. Vishwakarma puja celebration was a grand success owing to whole hearted support from the society RWA and of course enthusiastic participation by the residents of Saket Dham.
