There is a huge surge in cases of viral fever in the sector, with reports of many residents falling ill. Not only adults, but also children, are getting high fevers. It is characterised by high temperatures and leaves the patient quite weak. People are exhibiting symptoms of viral fever, influenza-like illness, and a respiratory tract infection. Doctors attribute the viral fever to seasonal changes and are treating it accordingly. However, there seems to be a rise in cases of dengue, and the WhatsApp groups are seeing an increase in requests for blood donations for platelets. Residents are advised to avoid self-medication and consult a doctor in cases of fever.
Most doctors are prescribing tests for typhoid, malaria, and dengue. Kindly take precautions by wearing appropriate clothing, and do not ignore any fever or other symptoms.
