Vijayadashami Celebrations At B- 11 यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः

The residents of B 11 Vasant Kunj celebrated the auspicious festival of Vijayadashami with great joy and fervour on 5 Oct in the RWA office. Multifarious activities that created awareness among the children about the festival were organised. The entire programme was organised by the RWA, the Cultural Team and the enthusiastic children of the society.
The programme began with an enriching Puppet Show that showcased the entire Ramayana in an interesting manner. Not only the children but also the adults were mesmerized by the story enactment done by the puppeteers through their beautiful puppets.
The puppet show was followed by a Quiz based on it that tested the grasp of knowledge and information of the children. The questions asked were enthusiastically answered.
The residents had prepared a purely Eco- friendly Ravana using hay, paper and wood. No crackers were added to the Ravana.
The special activity that was loved by all was ‘Burning My Negativity’ wherein all the adults and children wrote and pasted their one negative quality on the effigy of Ravana that they wanted to burn along with it. Echoing the slogan of Women Empowerment, a little girl dressed as Maa Sita set ablaze the effigy of Ravana.
The programme culminated with enthralling dandiya performances by all the residents.
The programme once again reiterated the faith that good always wins over evil irrespective of time and place.
