The spirit of patriotism and unity came alive on the auspicious occasion of India’s Independence Day at the Indosam 75 Society in Sector 75, Noida. Residents of all age groups participated wholeheartedly in a plethora of engaging activities, fostering a sense of togetherness and celebrating the nation’s freedom with great zeal. The event showcased the society’s unwavering commitment to nurturing a vibrant community.
The festivities commenced with the sight of toddlers adorned in adorable attire, parading in a fashion show that left everyone beaming with joy. Their innocence and enthusiasm reflected the pure essence of the celebration. Following this, the stage became a canvas for the young talents of the society, as kids took the stage to perform mesmerizing dance routines that enthralled the audience and brought forth rounds of applause.
The day continued with an array of spirited competitions that engaged individuals of all ages. The lemon race – a fun-filled activity that involved balancing lemons on spoons, brought laughter and healthy competition. Meanwhile, the swimming competition demonstrated the residents’ aquatic prowess, as they glided through the pool with determination and skill.
The artistic souls of the community had their chance to shine in the drawing competition, where creativity flowed onto paper, showcasing the participants’ unique perspectives on freedom and unity. The organizing committee ensured that every participant received recognition, with medals, trophies, and participation certificates awarded to honor their efforts and talents.
The highlight of the event was the solemn flag hoisting ceremony, graced by the presence of the venerable Smt. Gupta, an 84-year-old retired Head Mistress from High School, Assam. Her presence added a touch of authenticity and reverence to the occasion, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by our forefathers to secure the nation’s independence. The unfurling of the national flag filled the hearts of all present with pride and gratitude.
Shri Saurabh Saxena, the President of the Apartment Owners Association (AOA), and Shri Surjee Singh, the Secretary of AOA, welcomed the residents and guests with warm words of appreciation. They extended their heartfelt wishes for Independence Day and expressed their gratitude for the residents’ enthusiastic participation and collaboration. Both dignitaries acknowledged the hard work put in by the AOA members, the management of Indosam, and the volunteers who tirelessly worked to make the event a resounding success.
The event’s success was also credited to the efforts of numerous unsung heroes behind the scenes: the dedicated security guards, diligent housekeeping staff, and maintenance personnel. Their contributions ensured that the celebration was smooth, safe, and enjoyable for everyone involved. To express gratitude and cherish Independence day, sweet boxes were distributed to the members of the community.
As the sun set on this memorable day, Shri Kamlaker Mishra took the stage to deliver a heartfelt vote of thanks, using his evergreen poem to encapsulate the collective sentiments of the community. His words not only expressed gratitude but also highlighted the unity and camaraderie that made the celebration truly special.
