Each Year Festival of Colours brings together residents of all ages and beliefs with a spirit of unity, joy and togetherness.
On the eve of Holi, we celebrated HolikaDahan on 24th March 2024 in the D14 lane of the Society. This ritual tells us about the story of Prahlad and his aunt Holika. Prahlad, a devotee of Lord Vishnu was saved from the flames of fire while Holika who tried to harm him perished in the fire.
Before lighting the Bon- Fire, puja was performed by Pandit Ji. Ladies offered various fruits and sweets to the flames and devotional songs were sung seeking the blessings of Lord Vishnu. Coffee was served to the residents after the ceremony.
Holi was celebrated on 25th March 2024 with lots of excitement. Children came in large numbers armoured with water guns and water balloons and tried to drench everyone they encountered. Senior residents greeted one another with colours and the whole atmosphere was filled with laughter and joy. Some residents danced to the tune of Dhol while others enjoyed Holi songs on the DJ system, stalls for food, snacks and coffee were also there and everyone enjoyed the delicious food to the fullest, sitting together with their family and friends.
