Vibrant Holi in the Sector

Holi, the festival of colours, is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the city, bringing people together in a joyous spirit. The festival, known for its vibrant hues and festive cheer, also holds deep cultural and mythological significance.

Holi has different stories associated with it, including the triumph of good over evil. The most popular story is of Holika and Prahlad: King Hiranyakashipu wanted everyone to worship him as God, but his own son refused to do so. The king asked his sister to kill Prahlad. Holika built a bonfire and asked Prahlad to join her. Lord Vishnu protected Prahlad, and he came out alive from the bonfire. This indicates the unwavering faith and devotion of Prahlad.

On the 24th of March 2025, Holika Dahan pooja was performed at Holi Chowk to celebrate the victory of good over evil by the residents.

The next day was the most joyful and colourful day. Dulhendi was celebrated in Fountain Park of Society. The park was decorated very beautifully with a vibrant coloured theme. Residents—children, young people, and senior citizens—turned in big numbers. Everyone enjoyed playing Holi by putting gulal on each other’s faces, gale mile, gujiya khai, chaat, food, and kulfi – all were delicious. The children came with colourful caps and even the elderly wore caps written Holi.
