Vasant Vihar Revels in Vibrant Holi Celebrations

Vasant Vihar reveled in the vibrant spirit of Holi, celebrating the joyous festival of colours with infectious enthusiasm and great devotion. The festivities kicked off a few days earlier than the main event on Mach 14.

The D Block “Morning Walkers” group held a get-together on March 10, in the festive spirit of Holi with a vibrant celebration at D-7 Park. The colourful festivities were followed by a sumptuous breakfast, graciously hosted by Arjun and Usha Gupta.

The festive fervour of Holi also reached E Block Park, where the E Block Residents Welfare Organisation hosted a lively celebration, bringing together residents for a joyful and colourful experience.

Holika Dahan, also known as Chhoti Holi, was celebrated on Mach 13. The traditional bonfire was lit at Kalyan Kendra – a ritual symbolic of the victory of good over evil. People offered their prayers by going around the holy fire chanting mantras for the welfare of their families and near and dear ones. The event received a significant boost with the gracious presence of Anil Sharma, the local MLA, who took time out from his busy schedule to join in the celebrations. The VVWA organized function drew a large crowd, with over 200 residents attending and participating in the sacred event.

March 14 marked the grand finale of the Holi celebrations at Vasant Vihar Club, with the festivities reaching a crescendo with attendance being unprecedented.

The members were welcomed with the beats of Nagada Drums and a traditional tilak. The event was graced by Anil Sharma, the local MLA, who was greeted by Deepak Mishra, the President of VVC.

The venue was supercharged with the Holi fervor, with live dance performances by the dance troupes from Barsana performing the lamp dance and enacting the eternal divine love of Radha Krishna played with Phoolon ki Holi. 

 A buffet lunch was arranged for almost 450 people in the air-conditioned comfort of the banquet hall. The bar was rocking and the youngsters enjoyed themselves dancing and meeting friends till late in the evening. 

 In all over 600 people participated in the festivities and the management did a flawless job. 

 Kudos to the team of Sindhu Misra , Rajinder Maggu , Vineeta Bhardwaj for one of the best Holi Celebrations at the Vasant Vihar Club.
