What will Happen Once Lakhs of Vehicles from Other Parts Start Rolling on Our Roads
The Project is seemingly meant to ease the traffic on NH48, starting from, in a way, the Outer Ring Road to Delhi-Jaipur Highway and the Dwarka Express Way, via Vasant Kunj. As per the current estimates, once this project is functional, over 3 lakh vehicles shall be passing daily on this route.
Sure, it shall also help a lot of Vasant Kunj commuters to Gurgaon saving a lot of their time and fuel costs.
Yet, it is alarming! It desperately needs looking into the constraints and complications for the residents of Vasant Kunj. As of now, Vasant Kunj enjoys a sort of ’T-Point’ status in the national capital Map, with the traffic and vehicles mostly of our own. With Metro-Chhatarpur and the Mahipalpur-Underpass, the movement to/from Gurgaon is already well taken care of.
Think of it: Once lakhs of vehicles from other parts start rolling on our roads, what sorts of chaos and congestions it is bound to bring in! And above all, what about the Air and Sound Pollution expected due to such a huge vehicular traffic!
It is so alarming!!
