The Forest society is always active with festivities; but the present celebrations differed from the past in its new awareness of events. They were full of grandeur with addition of not one or two but many star-studded participations that added another feather in the cap of this beautiful society.
Vasantosav: The function was organised by the Sinha Family of the society to bid farewell to most ‘colourful’ season of Vasant Ritu. As told by Ms Sinha, generally they conduct this celebration in Patna but this time they decided to hold, as a special gesture, in The Forest Society. The resonance of the melodious voice of Priya Malik was the special feature of the function! The spectators were spell bound and appreciated her personality, quality of songs and presence of mind – the multifarious personality – while conducting as master of ceremonies. It was nice combination of all these qualities. It was followed by two poetical recitation, hilarious and heart touching contribution by Dr Budhiraja.
Khatu Shyam a Celestial Evening: It was ultimate devotion by Suman and Kuldip Goel family, residing in Zion Tower of the Society. The function had so many special features expressing loud and clear faith of the family in their Deity. All around decoration and the background wall behind the Deity completely decorated with the favourite colour of the dark red roses that emitted the lovely fragarance; the entrance with white beautiful feathers. Along with this, the soulful songs by Manish Bhai Jaipurwale created a spiritual ambiance and a devotional environment of heartiest dancing, clapping and enjoying the evening!
There was rain before the function, which is treated as special Celestial Blessings, and did not dampen the spirits of the family and audience. The function continued till midnight, with as brief punctuation by the host sharing his experience of the blessings from the Deity. Since childhood his faith towards this deity was due to the family following and fulfilling his wishes by only wishing for them. The most special feature of the devotional evening was the Chappan (56) Bhog Prasad for one & all; especially of the regular offering of the Deity, prepared by the Lucknow specialist – all items of different tastes. The evening happily concluded with very tasty Satvik dinner.
Participation of Yoshita Goyal, while planning the total set-up was a class apart and an example of the classic hospitality while attending the guests!
Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Mahavir: During the present day environment when religious show off of procession and some communal disturbances at many places; the best tribute to the Preacher of Non-Violence (Ahimsa), Lord Mahavir, which is a cooling effect on the heart and mind feeling, was paid on his birth Anniversary. The occasion was celebrated as Langar for one and all at the Society gate organised by Nutan and Neeraj Jain of Sherwood Tower. This gesture by the Jain family was most peaceful, humble and classic offering to the Great Soul!!
