Asha Sharma (B-31), who represented India in the Asian Games in Bridge, was honoured by the UP government in a ceremony at Lucknow on January 27, 2024. She was given a cheque for Rs 5 lakhs and a Prashasti Patra (Certificate of Appreciation). The award was given by Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya to all UP sportsmen who took part in the Asian Games. Asha Ji, along with chess player Vantika Agrawal, were the only sportspersons from NOIDA.
