Cows are considered as sacred beings in our Indian society, but looking at their conditions I am now beginning to doubt our beliefs. Cows in Vasant Vihar are seen to roam on their own without any supervision. They are left to fend for their own well-being, they are seen everywhere eating from garbage cans. It’s a pity to see them in such a state of malnutrition.
Looking at them, there is no one to blame other than the owner of these cows. Why are they being left on the road? Where they are not safe and have no adequate food supply. I have seen dozens of cows, suffering from wounds and infections, you can see them delivering calves on the roadside without any medical attention. It’s heartbreaking to see such gentle beings being reduced to such symbols of suffering and we consider them as our Gau Mata.
This issue requires urgent attention to improve the living conditions and ensure proper care of these holy cows. Strict actions should be taken by the welfare society against whoever is responsible for the ill treatment of the cows. The time has come to reevaluate our treatment of these gentle beings and work towards a more compassionate and ethical coexistence.
