Two separate fire incidents in DLF Phase 2 have raised serious safety concerns among residents. The first fire broke out opposite 24 BVM due to a short circuit in the electrical wiring. The blaze quickly spread as garbage and dry leaves in the vicinity ignited. Fortunately, the Quick Response Team (QRT) intervened swiftly, managing to prevent further damage.
However, just as the situation seemed under control, another fire erupted in Q3/10. The cause of the second fire is currently under investigation, but it has intensified calls for better safety measures and awareness among the community.
The QRT has emphasized the importance of proper waste disposal to prevent such fires. They have urged residents to be more mindful about discarding garbage and dry leaves, which can easily catch fire, especially in areas with exposed electrical wiring.
These incidents serve as a stark reminder of the potential dangers posed by negligence in waste management and electrical safety. The community is encouraged to follow safety protocols diligently to prevent future tragedies. Local authorities are also considering implementing stricter regulations and more frequent safety inspections to ensure a safer environment.
