On November 23 , in the evening, in front of mandir premise, there was arranged the wedding of Maa Tulsi and God Vishnu (Shaligram) in the presence of Pandit ji. The initiative was taken by the ladies group. According to the Hindu belief this day is very auspicious and beginning of the wedding ceremony month. This day is also known as ‘ Dev-uthni ‘ and Ekadashi.
The puja preparation started early afternoon and entire rituals were completed by the evening.The ladies’ group assembled at the mandir premise by afternoon for performing all the rituals with great enthusiasm. One Tulsi plant was dressed up like bride under the mandap. Afterwards Tulsi vivah ‘katha’ , bhajan-kirtan started . The residents participated in the rituals. Those wishing for a happy married life did the ‘Parikrama ‘ of Maa Tulsi. At the end of the program, Prasad and ladies’ Sringaar items were distributed among all. A very unique and blessed moment was experienced the residents
