Tulsi Vivaah is a Hindu ritual that celebrates the symbolic marriage of the holy basil plant (Tulsi or Vrinda ), with Lord Vishnu (or Lord Krishna). It marks the end of Chaturmas and after Tulsi Vivaah the season of Hindu weddings officially resumes. On this occasion November 12, AGV1 mandir committee, organised the ‘Tulsi Vivaah ‘ceremony in front of the mandir premise. All the ladies participated heartily and arranged entire rituals enthusiastically. By evening puja, devotional songs are performed and concluded by distributing Prasad. It is believed that conducting Tulsi Vivaah brings marital harmony, prosperity and good fortune to families, especially those of unmarried women.
