Trees At The Mercy Of Humans

These non vocal guardians of human beings, are today at the mercy of the, same human beings! The givers of life sustaining, oxygen, are being manhandled. Trees on footpaths, are being choked, by cement and tiles covering areas, meant to be left bare, around trees. This prevents air, water and sunlight from reaching the roots. Eventually these trees die a slow death. It is very sad to see this happening, to our saviours. Trees, are also being used as poles, to support electrical and cable wires. These wires hamper the growth of the trees and also put extra weight on it. It is our duty as residents, to protect our flora and fauna.
