A huge tree fell from an under construction site in S block in the late afternoon of 14th April’24. The tree fell across the road, snapping the electric cables and damaging a few parked cars. Another tree had fallen near the same spot a few years back. If trees keep falling like this, it can be very dangerous to life and property. While nobody was fortunately hurt in this incident, we may not be so lucky every time such a disaster strikes. The Civic Authorities must immediately carry out a tree audit in GK-2 and take urgent preventive measures, as required, to obviate the recurrence of such instances in the future. Also, thorough investigation into the causes of this recent mishap should be carried out to find out its root causes and fix accountability
