Deewali Mela has always been one of the best events organised in Sector 39. But what is appreciable is the fact that the newly formed RWA could put up the show at a very short notice. It was organised in C Block park in the evening with great enthusiasm and excitement. This is one of the most eagerly awaited events for celebration by the residents to enjoy and have fun in the society premises along with their families.
The venue of ‘Diwali Mela’was beautifully decorated with colourful and artistically designed lighting arrangement, giving it a bridal look. The flower decoration was really nice and was a topic of discussion amongst the residents. A number of stalls for eatables were put up in the pandal by the outside vendors to serve hot n fresh snacks. Additionally, stalls of Kurties and ladies suits, Deepawali items and games etc. were also put up. Very nice sitting ambience was created with round tables surrounded by set of chairs.
The residents started pouring in at the ‘Pandal’ after the ‘Deepawali’ lights were switched on in the evening. As usual, initially, the response was lukewarm but it picked up very fast as the time passed. The weather was favourable and the residents looked fresh, energetic, and full of excitement and in great festive mood for the open air Diwali celebrations.
The celebrations started with ‘Ganesh vandana’ with chanting of mantras by Pandit ji. Anchor of the programme interacted with the residents with interesting questions making lot of fun. The puppet show and magic show mesmerised the children. In nutshell, the fest was full of fun and the residents enjoyed to their best.
‘Diwali Mela’ was organised very well and all the residents appreciated the arrangements made for the celebrations.
