A string of complaints from residents of Maharani Bagh has highlighted the increasing difficulties of living in a once-peaceful neighborhood. The growing traffic volume, coupled with a lack of enforcement of basic traffic regulations, is causing widespread concern among residents.
One of the most pressing issues is the open access point on H road, which has become a thoroughfare for non-resident vehicles. This unregulated access is contributing to heavy traffic and congestion, especially during peak hours. Residents are calling for the installation of barricades to restrict entry and ensure smoother traffic flow.
Another recurring issue is speeding within the colony. Despite the presence of speed limits, there are frequent reports of vehicles exceeding the prescribed limits, with luxury cars often observed speeding through the roads. The lack of enforcement has led to growing frustration among residents, who are demanding stricter measures to curb the problem.
Noise pollution has also become unbearable, with incessant honking and the loud sound of motorcycles without proper silencers disturbing the tranquility of the area.
The Mochi Park, a designated space for dog walking, has also been flagged as a safety concern. Reports of suspicious individuals loitering around the park and the discovery of empty alcohol bottles and broken glass have raised alarms about the park’s security.
