Traffic jams have become a permanent affair for this colony being a thorough fare for outside traffic taking a short cut from our colony and choking the arterial roads especially the entry exit points in areas on the nallah bridge.
The situation during Diwali time gets so bad that for a normal resident getting back home becomes a night mare.
This year the situation has worsened with the closing of the bridge near South Delhi Public School by Public works department as it has caved in.
This bridge used to take the burden of traffic coming from Lajpat Nagar and going towards Kotla. Now the same traffic is diverted inside the colony clogging all roads especially during peak hours.
The RWA security team has tried to close certain periphery gates but still lot of planning needs to go into it specially involving outside agencies like traffic police.
Request residents to also give their inputs to the RWA for getting out of this situation. God forbid if some emergency happens it will be difficult for a resident to even get out of the colony.
