The morning and evening hours in the colony are horrendous for many residents who sometimes take more than 30 minutes to reach there colony from all sides.
The D block ringroad side, A block market side are most vulnerable as the bottlenecks during peak hour are adding to the woes of the residents especially seniors and ladies who get harassed due topoor planning of traffic movement all over the colony.
Why traffic issues are not getting resolved?
1) The colony is open from all sides which makes it a thoroughway for others to use defcol as short cut resulting in additional traffic.
2) As there are no manned gates during the day, it a free passage for anyone.
3) We have more than 500 commercial offices in Defcol, they have employees using
vehicles, visitors, vendors, cabs, building material vans etc. adds to the traffic.
4) There is no board to make it one way traffic to streamline the flow of traffic
Unless we make Def col a gated colony for 24/7, these issues will remain same as always;The streamlining of traffic by involving the residents will be useful and practical for the free flow of traffic.
