The celebration of a New Year in the month of January, named after Janus, the God of Gates and Doorways, is considered a symbol of beginnings, new hopes and good fortune throughout the upcoming months.
It is an ancient practice which is celebrated all over the world now.
As always, we Espacians too welcomed 2024 with an exuberant, vibrant and musical New Year’s Eve with attendance in full swing. Our AOA Cultural Head, Ms Mamta Aggarwal, arranged a wide variety of mouthwatering delicacies to relish like Chaat, Snacks (veg/ non-veg), Chinese, Main course dishes (veg/ non-veg) and desserts by Smokkey Grillz.
The evening started with an interesting round of Housie anchored by Ms Namita Gupta wonderfully. Winners got cash prizes for different categories they won like lines, corners, houses and many more. DJ Prashant kept everyone on their toes through the foot tapping numbers and on demand music.
Anchor Amar engaged kids and couples through a few interesting activities like paper dance, pass on the hat etc. The Last, but not the least, fun part was watching the clock tick to midnight and wish our loved ones a very “Happy New Year” with a high-five and the thrill of what’s to come in future with New Year resolutions and to-do lists for becoming a better version of ourselves.
