The long-awaited demand of residents for a toilet in the Central Park was fulfilled two months back, with toilet constructed by Noida Authority. It is astonishing to see the locks put on the doors of the toilet. As per RWA President, it is not handed over to them by Noida Authority. But the lock? The owner of Mother Dairy booth said that he had to put locks because it was not maintained by anyone and was misused – made dirty by some miscreant leading to foul smell emanating and causing unhealthy scene for the people visiting to buy milk and other eatables. The toilet was made in the park towards Mother Dairy keeping in mind that it can be used not only by visitors to the park but also by people coming to Safal outlet and the milk booth. But instead of public convenience it has become a nuisance. RWA is meant to look after the welfare of residents. It must take over from Noida Authority and manage/maintain to keep it hygienically fit for use of visitors.
