Once again a series of overnight thefts shook up the residents with various break-ins in M-block and L-block.
In M-block, the robbers accessed through the empty plot behind and broke the back door to enter. They picked up phones and laptops while the family was sleeping in the room.
Another resident related to a similar experience in August when the thief came into the room, picket laptop bag, and wallet and when the residents tried to catch him, he jumped the wall to the empty plot behind the house.
In L-block too, the thieves entered in the wee hours of the night, came through the terrace and ransacked a few rooms, and took what they could grab, some cash and one pair of earrings.
The chors are robbing not just inside the homes, but outside also.
A resident who parks his car in the adjacent plot in J6, found the car battery stolen from under the seat in the middle of the afternoon. The car was broken into, the seat ripped and dismantled and the battery taken out.
Later in the week, it was heard that a battery chor was caught up in DLF Phase 1 and he had confessed to his modus-operandi.
In all cases, though the FIRs were lodged, we haven’t yet heard of any culprits caught.
Thieves know they can get lucky with our security lapses and are taking full advantage of that.
For any crime in the area, residents must lodge a police. The higher the number of thefts reported, police vigilance and patrolling can be demanded to be increased. Else their registers show all is well.
To ensure the safety of residents, countermeasures need to be taken soon to avoid DLF heading to becoming a crime-easy location. A joint effort from all stakeholders, police, DLF, RWA and residents has to be done.

There is a big portion of wall broken at the GM in L block. Have complained at multiple level and nothing being done despite it. It is a big invitation for endless thieves and miscreants to come in DLF and have a treasure hunt. DB Ji has assured that the wall will be made soon. Hoping for the best.
thanks for your inputs sir.
Security is a major concern for residents of phase 2. Adequate measures need to be put in place for the safety.
Hope the concerned authorities look into it and tighten vigilance.
With the increasing thefts, everyone should be careful and Dlf security should be more vigilant and strict.
