Thefts & Chain Snatchings Have Been Reported in NFC & Neighbouring Colonies

“Better To Be Alert” – A Must!!

Off late, quite a few incidents of theft and chain snatchings have been reported in NFC and neighbouring colonies as well which is worrisome. Some affected took up the issue of security with the cops and some chose to remain silent. As reported by some residents, though the cops did their best, the culprits could not be identified.

The residents who suffered have shared their unhappy experience only for the benefit of all of us and wish that all of us take all precautions to save ourselves from petty thefts, which though petty, leave anxiety, fear and concern in our hearts and mind forever. We are aware that ‘Prevention of Theft / Robbery’ is a crime of opportunity that can be reduced through awareness and prevention. Whether you’re at home, in a car or walking, taking a few precautions will lower the risk of becoming a victim.

The culprits are fast in devolving ways and means to target residents and achieve their dishonest goals. All readers are requested to be on High Alert And Be Safe and be wary of the Latest Ways of Thefts being used by thieves (as informed by the cops) is that a group of 3-4 persons go from house to house with the stamp and letterhead of the Ministry of Home Affairs and claim to ensure that everyone has valid identity cards for the census. They come to the house and say that they are government officials and are propagating the ‘Ayushman Scheme’ of Government of India and wish to take your photograph/fingerprints. They have laptops, biometrics machines and data lists of all names like government officials have.  They will show you all the data list names and ask for more information. Please Be Aware That This Is All A Scam. Do Not Share Any Information with Them. Please do tell family members and elders in your home and community not to allow them to enter your home even if they show an Identity Card. It is suggested that if any person(s) comes to your house, contact the nearest police station.
