Every Vasant Kunj resident is familiar with the heavy cast iron meter box which the DDA provided for every flat at the time of construction. On 10 Aug 2024 between 10 AM and 12 noon, two meter boxes complete and lids of two more boxes were broken and stolen during daytime. Police were called in but of no avail. Security guards were grilled but no results. Since a lot of construction/renovations are going on, the boxes could well have been carried away in ‘malba trucks’. A warning for all residents.
