In a recent incident, an empty house in M block became the target of a theft. The owner of the house had left it vacant and moved to L block, and this was noticed by the opportunistic thieves.
Late at night, the burglars managed to enter the house from the front door, scatter all the goods, cut all AC wirings, copper tubes etc. They took away brass utensils and idols and some little money kept there.
A few things are still lying there but they managed to inspect and scatter things very leisurely, as they were sure the house was empty and nobody would come.
A FIR has been filed, but nobody has been caught yet. With the Looks of it seems like the job of a junkie or a scrap dealer.
The incident serves as a reminder to homeowners to take necessary precautions even when their properties are vacant, to deter potential break-ins and thefts.
Residents in the area are urged to report any suspicious activities to the police to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. Homeowners are also advised to secure their properties effectively, even if they are temporarily empty, to avoid becoming victims of such crimes.
