Halloween originated around 2000 yrs. ago. Celtic people in Europe believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead becomes blurred.
Now, due to the influence of western culture, primarily through movies, social media and the global exchange of ideas, Halloween is a rage amongst Indians with people embracing the fun and spooky factors like dressing up, trick or treat, themed parties etc.
Our Espacians too did not want to be left out. So, they came up with the idea of Trick or Treat and Spookiest House competition on Tuesday, 31 October. Our organizers – Ankita, Aishwarya and Richi – turned it into a great success with meticulously planned lists and detailed preparations.
Children went door to door for trick or treat dressed up as Halloween characters. Some residents decorated their houses for the Spookiest House competition. The winner of the competition was Aishwarya (Tower 35-2004).
Reetu Kansal (Tower 37) baked a Halloween – themed cake and invited kids for cake cutting and making it more memorable for them. It was the best Halloween indeed!
