The D block park, in sector 41, is a haven for the residents who recreate themselves by walking, using the gym or meeting up with friends. Sadly, the park is in a rundown state and has become unsafe.
The walking path is worn out, uneven and broken and extremely dangerous to walk on. People have tripped and fallen many times. The images speak for themselves. The tiles on the walking path need to be replaced with non slip, good quality ones.
To add to the woes is the fact that the park lights do not work, making it unsafe for early morning or night walkers. We have complained a number of times and they are temporarily fixed for a few days and then stop working again.
Further, the north corner of the park is a barren low lying area which floods up whenever it rains resulting in the breeding of mosquitoes . This is asking for trouble in the form of vector borne diseases like malaria, dengue and Zika. The only solution is landscaping with grass and trees and ensuring proper drainage of water.
Hopefully the RWA and Noida authorities will look into these problems and solve them at the earliest in the interest of all the residents who enjoy the park.
