Book Launch
The book was formally launched by Gautam Vohra, who was joined by the book’s author, Dr. Kavita Bhat-nagar, for the unveiling ceremony. Following the book launch, Dr. Kavita Bhatnagar led an engaging interactive session, dispelling common misconceptions about food stemming from ignorance. She emphasized the importance of balanced eating, mindful behavioral eating habits, and adopting a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Bhatnagar stressed that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition. Individual requirements vary greatly, depending on the unique physical and mental parameters and the social environment of each individual.
To develop a personalized eating plan, she recommended consulting a qualified nutritionist who can provide tailored guidance on what to eat and what to avoid. A holistic approach to nutrition is essential for achieving optimal well-being.
Lifestyle transformation is a continuous, daily process. It’s about making small changes every day, not just once a week. Remember, you are the author of your life story, and your choices have the power to shape its narrative.
Empower yourself. No one can dictate how you should live your life. You are the central character, and you have the power to choose: how you want to live, what choices to make, and what priorities to set. By acknowledging your power and taking ownership of your decisions, you can create a life that truly reflects your values and aspirations.
The book is based on the author’s professional and real-life experiences. It’s a collection of 23 short stories, each narrative features individuals working within the food industry as they navigate their dietary dilemmas and find insightful resolutions. These characters confront issues surrounding food and nutrition that, despite their professional backdrop, are akin to the challenges faced by many outside the industry. This approach not only entertains but also educates, making the journey towards healthier eating a relatable and inspiring experience for all readers. Dr. Kavita Bhatnagar, a Havard alumina, is a three-in-one personality – a qualified psychologist, a food scientist, and a nutritionist. She is a Fellow and a Council member of the British Society of Flavourists, CEO of Kanegrade India, a taste management company and has experience having worked over two decades at the intersection of food technology, taste science, nutrition, and eating behaviour psychology. Despite the heavy downpour, a large number of book lovers turned up. The interaction was lively and fruitful.
