“The New Lease Deed Has Reduced RWA & Club Executive Committee Members to Mere Clerks to Run Daily Affairs”, Says Inderjit Sial

The Writing on the Wall is Getting Clearer

Noida Authority CLO Will Be in Actual Control

It seems that the RWA Executive Committee has now realised that the new Lease Deed which they accepted and signed has reduced their positions to that of mere clerks and the actual control has been wrested by the Noida Authority representative assigned on the board.

We believe that the committee has only just approached the bigwigs in the UP government against the authority that has been imposed on them. It is very unlikely that much will come out of the new move. Too little, too late?

Clarifying the RWA’s position on the new Lease Deed, senior advocate and respected resident SC Agarwal wrote:

The lease agreement with Noida authority is a new document, which overrides the constitution of the Club, and therefore, all clauses of the constitution that are contrary to the lease deed are automatically null and void. An appropriate and amended constitution can be printed. That is all.

Why the President is not implementing the terms of the new lease deed qua management of the CLUB, is for him to answer.

One way out is fresh elections to the RWA and consequently automatically to the management committee of the Club.

Past president Inderjit Sial said that our RWA executive committee members have lost all powers and that they have now become mere clerks to run daily affairs.

The following is a prominent post put up by him:

Friends, I am the immediate Past President. I acknowledge everybody’s voices. However, here is what is correct. The new lease agreement signed between NA and RWA has certain flaws. It was signed by RWA President & Secretary without even bringing it to the EC of RWA where I am a member in the capacity of Immediate Past President. As per my understanding the lease agreement overrides the Club constitution. Therefore, non-resident office bearers have no role in running of the Club and should not be part of any committee or position. As per new lease deed the Club is for the residents (RWA) to run the daily affairs and non-residents members remain members of the Club.

I have spent 16 years being a part of both RWA & Club and it pains me that a prestigious club is slowly going down the Gymkhana path. Friends wake up or Club 15A sees its end. We are residents first!
