On the 11th of August, 2024, Sunday, music event of Tabla was organised at the Apparel House, Epicentre, Sector 44, Gurugram, by Brahmanaad music group, run by Guru Sarthak; who resides in Sushant Lok C block. All his disciples had been introduced to the public performance, ranging from age 80 to age 5. Some of his students had come from different parts of the world, Shreya Shriniwas from Scotland, Bhairavi Mohan, Nivi Seth, Darshan, and many others from the USA. The special attraction of the event was the girls’ performance, their amazing control over the musical instrument, and stating “Ladki hoon, Tabla baja sakti hoon”, which stole many hearts that were present there and filled them with pride and honour.
In the end, his son and students presented a musical panorama by presenting the journey from Damroo to Tabla, and showed the glimpse of different lokas of Sanatan in collaboration. Truly amazing!
Later while talking with Guru Sarthak, he was happy with the outcome on the whole but narrated the problems he faced while arranging for the presentation. It was a heavy rain day, though weekend but rain had dampened the spirits, the sound system that was to come from old Gurgaon could not be brought home so they used the Epicentre’s sound system with a few of the students’, the footfall was quite high, even the rain could not dampen the spirit of attendees. The result of the event made him say,” All’s well that ends well!”
The chief guests- Pt. Vijay Shankar Mishra, Pt. Puspendra Bhardwaj, and Pt. Harish Gangani, were overwhelmed by seeing such manifestation of music and taal with the casual vibes of a cyber city, and praised guru Sarthak’s effort in amalgamating the two worlds so effortlessly into one. All in all, it was a beautiful evening presented with grace and galore that made all hearts dance with joy!
