On Sat, 16th Dec, Panchshila Montessori School staged a musical, The Joy of Christmas, in their school premises to celebrate the spirit and joy of Christmas. Pre-nursery and play group children performed with enthusiasm and confidence which was evident from the smiles and grins on their parents’ and grandparents’ faces.
Little children presented a musical on one of the favourite carol of Christmas,” Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and “Jingle Bells”. They also enacted a cute play conveying the message about the true meaning of Christmas which is to spread good cheer with someone who is needy and ones you love. The backdrop was done up as a beautiful winter wonderland with cut outs of snowflakes, Christmas trees, reindeer, socks et al. The entire school looked vibrant in Christmas themed colours and festive decorations made by the teachers.
The Guest of honour for the occasion was Ms. Rachna Jain , Pre Primary Head ,Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, New Delhi. The function was also attended by Mr. Rajesh Chopra, President,Mr. Jasjit Singh ,Vice President, Ms. Madhu Singh , Chairperson of the School Sub Committee with other eminent members of the Panchshila Society. Mrs Leila Kabir Fernandez, Mrs Nalini Sehgal and many other prominent residents of Panchshila Park also graced the occasion. Parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, siblings, and friends clapped and sang along while clicking pictures of their children to capture beautiful memories.
The show ended with everyone singing Feliz Navidad and wishing one another a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. After the wonderful performance by the little ones, the children with their family members and friend enjoyed the Christmas fest. There were Christmas themed craft activities by “Windows-The art and Craft Corner”. The little hands enjoyed decorating the decorations like stockings and Christmas trees. Stalls of yummy brownies and strawberry chocolate balls were there and too hard to resist. Bouncy and games like “Pin the Rudolf nose”, Build the snow man” were there. A tattoo corner was not to miss. Muffin decoration was a hit. Parents and children had a fun time all in all. Thanks to all the teachers and support staff who work relentlessly behind the scenes to make beautiful memories of children and their families and to make the event successful.
