Despite the Thunderstorm & Showers Preceding the Function It Was a Runaway Success
The Joint Celebration of Baisakhi on 13. April at the DCAs Club (JCO) despite the thunderstorm and showers preceding the function was a runaway success. The Function drew huge crowd of Residents, their Families and Guests in Colourful attires befitting the Occasion. It was attended by Residents from the entire Colony including Past and Present Presidents and Office bearers of DCA and DCWA and their EC / AC.
The Musical and Dancing Evening included lots of Professionals and Bureaucrats including those from the IFS, IAS and the IPS. Vrat / Vegetarian food was on the platter which was appreciated by the full house, which had come in large numbers. The Musical troupe doled out peppy numbers which made the humongous crowd toe tapping n delirious. Over all the Evening was a memorable one.
After a marvellous Baisakhi Musical Extraordinaire, we at the Happening Joint presented a Soccer Tournament for Children under 13 on 14 April from 7.30 am which continued till 1.00 P.M. More than Hundred Children participated in the tournament.
Further another vibrant day it was at DCA’s A Block Club on 21 April when more than 70 children participated in Art and craft competition. Children from the whole Colony came together, along with their parents and grandparents, which really highlighted the community spirit and the intergenerational bonding that such events foster.
Children participated in large numbers enthusiastically as seen in the snaps annexed were seen engaged in the length and breadth of the Crystal Room, the Shed area and the Ornamental Lawn. Their talent was appreciated and recognised and accordingly Certificates of Appreciation and Excellence were awarded to them. Such an event gives a significant boost to children’s confidence and encourages them to keep participating and exploring their abilities.
In addition to above, two musical evenings were organised in the Club Lawn where a large number of members danced to the beats and enjoyed.
