The Fourth Kusum Khosla Memorial T-10 Cricket Tournament was a much-awaited event, filled with excitement and memorable moments. This year, the tournament took place in two parts, providing entertainment for both kids and adults.
The first part was held on Sunday, 9th February, featuring matches for kids aged 8 to 12 and league matches for men. Eighteen kids formed two teams of nine players each and displayed great skills and sportsmanship. The winning team received medals and a cash prize of Rs. 5000, while the runners-up were awarded Rs. 1800. Abhay Porwal, Maulik Sikri, Ridhit Negi, Ayansh Sahu, Krishiv Goel, Puran Hasthawala, Yuvan Sahu, Shivansh Goel & Tejas Moyal were winners.
In the men’s league, 48 participants were divided into eight teams. After intense matches, four teams emerged as winners.
The second part of the tournament took place on Sunday, 16th February. The highlight was the women’s cricket tournament, with 14 women participating. They were divided into two teams of seven players each. The women’s winning team received a cash prize of Rs. 5000, and the runners-up were awarded Rs. 2500. The women’s matches added excitement and highlighted the importance of including everyone in sports. Radhika Babber, Maya Nair, Komal Katyal, Reshu Bhandari, Priyanka Pandey, Sonali Mehra & Preeti Porwal were winners.
On the same day, the semi-finals and final match of the men’s league were played. Vipul Kumar, Shlok Raj, Prakrit Aneja, Lakshay Bansal, Manav Lakhina & Abhishek Sharma were the winners. Prakrit Aneja was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance and was awarded Rs. 2500. The men’s winning team was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 11000, while the runners-up received Rs. 5000, showcasing their passion for cricket.
Both event days were made even more special with delicious snacks in the morning and a tasty lunch of chole bhature. The medals and cash prizes were sponsored and awarded by Rakesh Khosla, president of Club 26.
This annual event has grown in popularity, becoming a favourite for the community. Rakesh Khosla and the management committee are dedicated to providing entertainment and hospitality to all members, with a promise to bring more such events in the future. The tournament truly embodies the spirit of community and the joy of coming together to celebrate sportsmanship and brotherhood.
