To Celebrate India’s 77th Independence Day
Following the flag hoisting ceremony led by key members of the RWA, Manish Sanghi recited the famous patriotic song ‘Vande Mataram.’ The RWA President, JP Shukla, welcomed and honored the senior citizens, who have witnessed over 1000 full moons.
The RWA staff, who had demonstrated exemplary work in the recent past, were acknowledged and awarded. Students who excelled in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities were recognized and commended.
Sarika Baheti conducted an “I Love My India” quiz, engaging the gathering with enthusiasm. She then invited the children of The Forest Family to join a green initiative, briefing them about the benefits of the sacred plant Tulsi, during the plantation of the holy basil in the complex. Such was the hands on experience with reverence to the soil of our motherland, with a commitment towards a green environment to promote clean environment for better health.
Infused with patriotism, the staff members sang a selection of patriotic songs. To complete the celebratory atmosphere, a buffet of sumptuous refreshments and favorite beverages was served, as no celebration is complete without a hearty meal. Following this, Indra Dev sent a draft of rain as a shower of blessings, adding a special touch to the celebration of this National Day.
