On 27 December, Veer Bal Diwas, The Forest Senior Citizen’s morning group respectfully remembered the sacrifices of Shri Guru Goving Singh, his family – two sons, elder Sahabjade Ajit Singh (age17) and Jhujhar Singh (13) bravely fought against the Mughals and sacrificed their lives on 22 December 1704; and two younger sons Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh (age 9–6) were put to end alive in the masonry of four walls by the Punjab Mughal in charge!
The group whole-heartedly appreciated the sacrifices and condemned the atrocities of Mughals. Er. Jagdish Shukla described this incident as pathetic suppression of history. A prabhat pheri visited The Forest Society from Gurudwara. The Luthra and Batra families organised kirtan, ardas and langar to pray and pay homage in the company of the Sangat.
