The RWA of The Forest Society organised the Republic Day Celebration in a real enthusiastic, elaborate and effectively matching spirit of the day under the dynamic leadership of President Gurbakshish Batra, very well implemented by Ms. Dipti. After snatching freedom from the hands of the oppressive British Rulers and suffering the pain of partition, the intelligent leaders of new India completed the Democratic Constitution of Republic of India; dedicated the Constitution of India to the nation in 2 years, 11 months and 18 days on 26 January 1950.
Engineer-in-Chief (retd.) Jagdish Shukla presented the role of Master of Ceremonies in a very effective manner and knitted the chain of the event pearls nicely. Ceremonial ‘Jan Gan Man’ was very rhythmically sung by the senior ladies of society – Dipti Salil, Shagun Singhal, Ms Reema and Neelam K Vishal.
Participation of the children was outstanding as Ishanvi of Lakhotia family, Kushagar son of Ms Shagun, and Arjun of Maheshwari family sung heartiest songs for free India. Charming ladies were not behind as Ms Shagun and Ms Shaifali sang a resonant and lyrical patriotic song, that too without music.
Staff of the society is not only effective in services but also organised and participated graciously to make the function a great success. Very delicious lunch was served to residents and staff at the completion of the function.
