“Collective Will” of the people is the “Will of God”. This is what made 22 January a truly global event. Each society in Sector 93A celebrated the event in their own unique way. The Pranpratishta of Lord Ram was celebrated in an exceptional way at the Emerald Court. “What made it special is that it was driven by the emotional and creative fervor of the ladies from each family,” says Gaurav Mehrotra who took the lead along with many others and made this an event to remember.
The planning for the event started many weeks earlier, individually as well as collectively, by the Bhajan group formed to spear-head the activities and discussions on what and how.
At Emerald Court, we celebrate all the events and festivals together, starting from Lohri, Republic Day, Sports day, Holi, Ramanavami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Independence Day, Diwali, Gowardhan Puja and ending with Christmas and the New Year. But this time, the participation of the residents and their energy was nothing less than divine.
The ECORWA organized the screening of the live event at Ayodhya and all the residents gathered to see the live transmission on a large screen. There was all round excitement as the PM Narendra Modi completed the pooja and it was a sight to see the excitement of the residents dancing to the Dhol at the central park.
To decorate each tower, there was a healthy competition among artistic residents who worked whole night and created beautiful facades in each tower.
The pooja and kirtans by the residents, who sang and danced to the melodious and devotional songs and bhajans, was followed by all the residents taking the Decorated Ramrath in a procession around the society, truly unique and befitting the occasion of the opening of the grand temple at Ayodhya.
This was followed by the Deepotsav, prashad and dinner to all the staff and residents in the society.
What was different this time was the power and beauty of synergy, and what we can accomplish together. Ram Lalla brought us all together and this will be remembered for many decades ahead.
