On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostsav, the residents of Pocket-XI, Sector-B decided to celebrate it in a unique manner. They decided to show their gratitude to all those who are part of thei daily life and whose contribution has been very significant.
The maids, cooks, cleaners, drivers etc employed by the residents and security staff of RWA, had provided uninterrupted service during the COVID lockdowns and it was necessary to acknowledge and express our gratitude. They invited all of them for a sumptuous lunch on 15 Aug. Around 230 people attended the event. There was a festive atmosphere and the participants enlivened the occasion by their folk songs. The local MLA was present and he himself served food to around 100 invitees. No plastics were used throughout the program.
The lunch was funded by contributions from the residents.
