The momentum steered a week before the Election date (25/05/24). The conversation in any group would land up in the voting date and merits and demerits of the political leaders. This geared up as we approached the date of the election.
The residents of our society were given the polling booth situated at the end of the DLF Club drive road, at Lancers Convent School.
Enthusiastic residents reached the polling area right at 7 am on 25th May, to find plenty of people from adjacent societies, queued all over the vast ground of the Majestic school.
Though it was a few yards away, the ailing seniors were given the transport to reach the polling booth comfortably. For which the registration was completed the previous day by the philanthropist and party worker Shri Ranjit Singh and his associates.
Shri Ranjit Singh (P 2 B 115), a renowned volunteer, guided every one of us and provided assistance in and around the booth all through the day which further smoothened the procedures in casting our votes and fulfilling our duties as a citizen.
Mrs Kamal Guglani (P 2 A 156) also contributed her services helping others to exercise their franchise from morning to evening.
We calmly voted for our desired candidate and walked home to continue our daily chores.
70% of the flats in Princeton are occupied by tenants. Hence the turnover of voters was reduced to 532 but those who were present at the booth had a pleasant experience.
