Last week, social media was abuzz with messages lauding Noida’s superior drainage and sewage system, well-maintained roads and captivating parks – all of which make the city a delightful place to live. Among Noida’s many remarkable features, its abundance of parks stands out as a symbol of tranquillity and community spirit. From Sector 61 to various other sectors, these green oases offer something for residents of all ages, providing a perfect setting for leisure, exercise, and quality time with family and friends.
Among the regular visitors to the park, there are some who have observed these unseen champions toiling diligently behind the scenes. These are the heroes who come in quietly and selflessly dedicate their days to ensuring that the park remains clean, green, and inviting for everyone.
There are the park cleaners who highlightthe importance of collective responsibility for cleanliness. They say that keeping the park clean is not solely the duty of the workers but also that of every visitor. Their simple yet powerful message encourages everyone to contribute to the park’s cleanliness by using the designated dustbins for disposing of waste.
Then there are the dedicated caretakers of the park’s horticulture. They meticulously trim the grass, carefully prune trees, and lovingly plant beautiful flowering trees. Despite their significant efforts, they often feel unappreciated. Many residents tend to focus on what they perceive as shortcomings without recognizing the dedication and hard work put in by these park caretakers. When asked how residents can help, they humbly requested a simple gesture – words of appreciation. A kind acknowledgement of their work would go a long way in boosting their morale and encouraging them to continue their relentless efforts to keep the park a picturesque and serene place.
As the old saying goes, “Actions speak louder than words,” it is time for us, the visitors of Sector 61 parks and other parks in Noida, to show our gratitude in more than words. Next time you visit the park and encounter these diligent workers, take a moment to thank them for their relentless dedication. A simple “thank you” or a few words of appreciation can make a significant difference and motivate them to keep up their commendable work.
