The Art of Living Organization recently hosted a transformative session titled ‘Mind Over Matter’, designed to provide participants with practical tools to achieve and maintain peace of mind while staying dynamic and proactive.
This holistic and integrated session was facilitated by Art of Living Faculty, Mr. Sagar Singh, a seasoned designer and dedicated faculty of the organization.
The session aimed to offer attendees a glimpse into the power of cultivating a happy state of mind and how it positively impacts both personal and professional lives. By focusing on stress relief and anxiety management, Mr. Singh shared valuable techniques to help individuals navigate the pressures of daily life with a calm and centred approach.
One of the key highlights of the program was the emphasis on meditation and Sudarshan Kriya, a breathing technique that has become central to the Art of Living practice. Mr. Singh explained how scientific research has shown that these practices can trigger changes in the brain, reduce stress hormones, and stabilize the mind, leading to better emotional regulation and mental clarity.
In addition, the session explored the benefits of pranayama (controlled breathing exercises) and how regular practice enhances awareness, heightens perception, and fosters a deeper connection to the present moment.
Participants learned that by integrating these techniques into their daily lives, they could achieve greater peace and a more balanced approach to both challenges and opportunities.
Mr. Singh’s session served as an enlightening experience, offering practical, research-backed tools for mental well-being, making it clear that with the right practices, achieving inner calm while remaining proactive and effective is possible.
The session was attended by about 30 residents.
