The much-in-demand and much-awaited Annual Firangi Meet (get-together) was held on 17th November, Friday at AIR Ahuja Residency. The event saw an attendance of approx. 45 ladies and was considered a good opportunity for interaction of both old as well as new female residents.
Since it was being held right after Diwali and everyone was in festive mode, the dress code was ‘traditional Indian’. Previous days had witnessed a lot of work on account of various festivals. Hence, it won’t be wrong to say that this meet was like an ‘after-party’ where there was no work, but relaxation and interaction time. Excited entries arrived in time to get themselves registered at the specifically appointed desk. Coloured tokens were provided to each lady and they were asked to take their seats at the tables with the corresponding colours to the token. A selfie station was also set up besides the Diwali-specific decor, by the admins Suman Kashyap and Smriti Chabbra with the help of Rinu Malhotra. What began with a game of ‘rock-paper-scissors’ with some coffee and finger-licking tikkas and kebabs, went on to various attendees winning contests and prizes sponsored by our very own DLF Phase 2 entrepreneurs. Mona Toor presented a dance performance on the popular song ‘Hey Shubharambh, Ho Shubharambh’ and was much appreciated by the audience. Others too stepped on the floor later and danced to Bollywood numbers followed by a well-spread dinner.
Needless to say, happiness was in the air. The event concluded post-dinner, and plans were made to catch up again very soon. A list of winners of cute & quirky contests is shared below: Stone Paper Scissors: Mona Bhardwaj and Sonali; Best Nail Art: Rabina; Highest Heels: Arti Yadav; Phuljhadi (best in dress-up): Seema Bahl; Forever Young Pataka (Seniors): Usha Mangla; Lucky Draw: Urvashi Anand, Usha Solanki, Asha Kapoor and Nidhi Malik
