A Teej event was planned and organised by the Cultural Committee in association with LBAOA4, on Saturday 19 August evening on the second floor of LB Club Lotier.
Seema Narang (LBAOA4 Vice President) and eminent members of the Cultural Committee like Fatima Khanam (T18), Reena Chibber (T-12A), Roopa Sharma (T8) and Komal Sapra beautifully arranged the programme from 4 to 8 PM with singing of saawan songs, a question answer round, surprises, and games.
The evening was made more happening by various group performances on Teej – related songs. Many groups performed beautifully under the alluring decor and stage. All the attendees looked beautiful in green/ yellow ethnic ensembles which were the theme colours of the event.
The Teej Queen contest was also held. Participants were made to dance on jhumka songs and catwalk. They were asked various questions by the judges who finally chose the top three winners. Two consolation prizes were also given.
The evening ended with a surprise dance of senior ladies who performed beautifully on retro oldies and sang old timeless melodies and folk songs.
In the end, an authentic Indian dinner was served. The beautiful evening ended with women clicking endless selfies and groupies on the Teej jhoola and the various selfie points.
