Mehndi Park cleaning drive was taken on Monday, the 24th of September by the RWA under the aegis of Deepak Verma and Sujata Gaur with support from Suman Kumar, Collegium Ward 20. Verma being an environmentalist; who commenced the Van Mahotsav drive in Sushant Lok was expected to take up such humongous task of cleaning the Mehndi Park as it is one of the largest and is used frequently by all age groups of the nearby residents.
The commendable job was done by Mrs. Suman Kumar as she didn’t budge from her post until the job was done completely. RWA provided the Tractor trolley and all the equipment and sufficient manpower that were needed to clean the surroundings of the park. Anshul made sure that all the grass that was cut and the waste were properly disposed of.
Some kind of controversy arose when some other party tried to steal the glory and advertised the work of cleaning the park was done by them, by taking a picture in the park while standing and talking to others in the premises! The games people play! In the end, the reality of the whole truth came out and the doers were given the due credit for their job. Sushant Lok C block got one green lung cleared and people around were joyful for the small mercy!
