In a residential community of over 2500 homes, there are only a few who push the limits of their comfort zone and take it upon themselves to make their habitat cleaner, greener and more secure.
Suresh Dhundia is one such conscientious member of the community who moved into Malibu Towne in 2008 and resided as a tenant till January 2010. He got his own house built and shifted there in February 2010.
For over eight years, he has been actively involved with the RWA in various capacities. Presently, he is President of MTPRWA by virtue of which he is also a member of Governing Council of Malibu Towne Federation.
And his team, during their tenure, have been instrumental in completing various projects with the objective of improving the overall environment of Malibu Towne, ensuring high standards of living for its residents.
Born in December 1947 in Patiala, Punjab, he got a masters in History from Mohindra College, Patiala (1971). Quite a sportsperson, he led the Punjabi University Lawn Tennis team thrice, was declared the best swimmer of the University twice and was declared the Best Sports Man of the University in 1970.
He started his career as Deputy Superintendent of Police with CRPF in 1972. He spent 15 years in CRPF serving in almost all states of India and working with various illustrious stalwarts of CRPF and IPS. He saw action in Assam during the ULFA problem and Punjab during the Khalistan problem in 1984. Then joined the Cabinet Secretariat (R&AW) in 1987 and superannuated from there in 2007. During his tenure there he served in Indian Missions at Kathmandu, Paris and Kabul besides Head Quarters and Leh.
Mr. Dhundia got married in 1976 to Ravi Bala who has been his source of strength all through his career. They are proud parents of three daughters, all professionally successful. The family presently reside in their own home on Cedar Drive.
With such a vast experience of various national and international postings, this is their 32nd abode in a career spanning 36 years. As per him, “God has been very kind and they could not have asked for more.”
