Suraj Verma added another feather to his cap by winning his fifth gold medal at the India Cup 2025 – National Benchpress and Deadlift Championship (RAW), held at Rotary Club, Sonepat Midtown on January 4-5, 2025. The prestigious event, organized by NSPF and GPC, witnessed the participation of 180 powerlifters from 10 states.
This triumph is a testament to Suraj’s unwavering dedication and hard work. Expressing his gratitude, he said, “I’m deeply humbled by the recognition as a 5-time National Champion and recipient of 5 gold medals in powerlifting. I also appreciate the acknowledgement of my efforts in establishing the Khelo 39 Federation, which has been promoting sports and community engagement for the past three years.”
Suraj also extended his heartfelt thanks to the RWA 39 for their invaluable support in conducting sports activities for the youth in Sector 39. His achievements are a shining example of his passion for sports and his commitment to inspiring the next generation of athletes.
